That’s an amazing turnaround. You never want to see a wrestler get hurt as it can leave them out of the ring for a very long time. There are some incredibly serious injuries out there and some of them can take years away from a wrestler’s career. It can be quite the sight to see them get back in the ring and we might be on the way to seeing that with a wrestling legend.

Buff Bagwell was involved in a June 2020 car wreck that resulted in a variety of injuries, including a hurt knee. Bagwell appeared on Road Dogg’s Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast and revealed that if an upcoming test shows no evidence of infection in his knee, he can have a rod planted into it, followed by a knee replacement. If those procedures go well, Bagwell could return to the ring after he recovers. Bagwell, 53 years old, has only wrestled four times since his injury, most recently in October 2023.

Bagwell has had a nice career. Check out some of his time in the ring:

Opinion: That is always nice to hear, as you don’t want to see anyone missing years off of their career for any reason. Bagwell is already in his early fifties and most of his career is probably behind him. If he can still show up for a few appearances here and there, good for him for getting what he can out of his career. Hopefully everything goes well for him, as he should still have some time left in the ring.
