They may be done. AEW runs things a bit differently than WWE, with a continued focus on tag team wrestling. The company has had all kinds of teams over the years with some of the best tag team talent in the world. This includes several former WWE teams, and now another one of them might be in danger of leaving AEW for good if another team has their way.

FTR made a surprise return to AEW at Revolution earlier this month. They have since made it clear that they are coming for the AEW Tag Team Titles, which they officially challenged for this week on Dynamite. However, in order to get the Gunns to defend their titles, FTR had to agree to leave AEW if they lost the match. The match was made, with a date to be announced. This comes as FTR’s AEW contracts are rumored to expire in April.

Opinion: This is the kind of match that could go either way, as it would be easy to see FTR get the Tag Team Titles back but it could also be interesting to see them lose and go elsewhere. While it is hard to imagine them returning to WWE, it is certainly interesting to imagine them going wherever they want to go, which could open up quite a few different possibilities.
