That’s a step forward. One of the biggest stories of the last year plus has been the rise of new television deals among major wrestling companies. WWE has new deals with USA and FOX, AEW has debuted on TNT and Impact Wrestling is now on AXS TV. The industry is moving in a positive direction and, while it is a little behind its competitors, a big wrestling company may be joining the lineup.

Ring of Honor has been around for over eighteen years now and things have been better for them over the last few months. The company has gone from co-headlining Madison Square Garden with New Japan Pro Wrestling to having only a handful of fans to some of their bigger events of the year. They need some good news at the moment and that might be the case.

Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff was recently a guest on the Wrestling Inc Daily podcast and talked about a potential new live weekly television show for the company. While there are no current plans for the show or any deal announced, Koff said that the company was closer to having a new deal than not. It is not clear when the company’s current deal expires or if a new show would either replace or join the current one.

Ring of Honor has been getting better as of late. Check out some of their recent efforts:

Opinion: I could go for something like this as Ring of Honor has not exactly been as strong as it could have been in recent months. At some point you need to make things a little bit more interesting or at least get some kind of spark going. I don’t know if a live television show is the secret to the whole thing, but it would certainly be something new for the company after all these years.
