It’s a bad ending. The rise of podcasting has changed the way wrestlers are able to communicate with their fans. There are now all kinds of wrestling podcasts, where wrestlers are able to talk about whatever topic they choose, possibly answering fans’ questions or conducting interviews at the same time. Some of the biggest names in wrestling have a podcast, but now one of them is going to undergo a major, which didn’t come well.
Ric Flair and former WCW broadcaster Mark Madden have ended their Flair Uncensored podcast, which saw Flair as host and Madden as co-host. However, the wo have gotten into a Twitter argument over what happened, which has spilled into an exchange of personal insults. Madden says that he left the show while Flair says that Madden was fired. The two went back and forth, with Flair announcing that he will be debuting a new podcast with his son-in-law Conrad Thompson starting next month.
I am leaving the @FlairUncensored podcast effective immediately. It’s not a good fit for me, especially scheduling the prep &taping during my jam-packed work week. Thx to @RicFlairNatrBoy & @PodHeat for the opportunity &for understanding.

Ok. That’s true. And now, soon, I can tell the whole real story. Like how we lost the deal with Podcast One. Love& appreciate you, too, but hey…as long as we’re telling the truth. Truth is always good, right? Watch this space. https://t.co/lGt3aAQTWB

And BTW, you didn’t have the balls to tell me you were firing me. You said the podcast was cancelled, period. Your son-in-law had to tell me the truth. Why couldn’t you just let it go? Why couldn’t you just be a friend after 35 years? https://t.co/lGt3aAQTWB

Ric one week: “I want the podcast to be current!” Next week: “Who’s Jay White? Never heard of him!” FFS. https://t.co/lGt3aAQTWB

Mark, It’s So Sad. You’ve Been Telling Everyone For 30 Years That I’m The Greatest Wrestler Ever. Quit Trying To Get The Rub That Made You Who You Are! Look Forward To Hearing You On The @PatMcAfeeShow, Oh Wait, Sorry, He Cancelled You Too! Just Be Happy & Enjoy Life! https://t.co/AS2xXyZERs

Have another drink. God gave you the gift of life a few years back, &you thank him by getting ***t-faced every single night like you are right now. You are the greatest wrestler ever. What you’ve become is sad. https://t.co/uY1DCrsKLC

Opinion: Flair has a tendency to have relationships blow up in his face time after time and as a result, I’m not entirely surprised that this is the case again. This started off as something simple and then went a little nuts as Flair escalated things. Hopefully they can patch things up, as maybe this is the kind of thing that got blown out of proportion. It would be a shame to see it end this way.
