That’s one way to go. Last month, WWE released a host of performers from the active roster, causing a bunch of people to be out of work. This comes at a bad time for the wrestling world as there are only so many companies for wrestlers to work in at the moment. Not everyone is going to be able to get a job, but one of them may not even be in the hunt.

There were a lot of wrestlers released back in April and they came from a variety of generations. Some of them were more experienced than others and that makes for some interesting options on the free agent market. There would certainly be wrestlers who a lot of companies would be interested in picking up, though one might be taking himself out of the running.

Recently released WWE wrestler Lio Rush made a post on Twitter saying that he may never wrestle again after being let go from the company. Rush’s release came after he was not included in a tournament to crown an interim Cruiserweight Champion. Rush also complained about not being included in either the latest WWE video game or having an action figure. He also sent out a tweet saying that he was available for music projects.

Rush has had some success in WWE. Check out some of his highlight reel:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that leaves me a little skeptical. Rush might feel this way now, but will he still want to be out of the ring in a year? It’s very possible of course, but I’m not sure if that is going to be the case. The one thing I have learned in wrestling is to never say never, and someone with some name recognition and natural talent at 25 years old never wrestling again would be quite the surprise.
