That’s a bad sign. There are all kinds of WWE pay per views every year but some of them are treated as bigger deals than others. One such show is the Survivor Series, which has been held since all the way back in 1987. However, this year’s show did not seem to have the same buzz behind it, and now we know just how uninterested fans were with some numbers to back it up.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this year’s WWE Survivor Series only had 200,000 Google searches. This is comparable to most B level WWE pay per views and falls far behind AEW All Out, which had over 500,000 Google searches. This year’s Survivor Series was again based around the idea of the battle for brand supremacy between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.

You might not have seen it. Check out some of the better moments from Survivor Series:

Opinion: Are you surprised at all here? There was very little interest going into the show and that is because of the build. WWE treated the show like it was nothing and that is how the fans saw it as well. There were no title matches and no major stakes, with WWE not acting like the battle between the two brands meant anything following the show. WWE only has itself to blame here, though it is hard to imagine them learning from their mistakes.
