A difference of opinion. There are a lot of wrestlers in the various branches of WWE and that means some of them are not going to agree with each other on some things. What makes it more interesting though is that since it’s wrestling, you never know when things are being done to advance a story or when they have been cooked up to get some attention. Either of those three things is a possibility at the moment.
Over the last year and a half, NXT has ascended to heights that were never before imagined. The weekly television show airs on the USA Network in prime time and the company’s stars have appeared at the Royal Rumble Survivor Series and WrestleMania. That’s quite impressive and you can imagine the loyalty that comes with it. Now one of its biggest stars isn’t getting along with one of WWE’s top names.
On Monday, Randy Orton referenced the amount of leg slapping that takes place in NXT. Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa responded, saying that he is using Orton matches to put his daughter to sleep. This set off a back and forth argument between the two, with Orton’s wife getting involved as well. Orton did not seem to think much of Ciampa’s criticisms and referred to NXT as “wrestling school”. There is no word on any potential match between the two.
Heard #WWENXT #TakeoverInYourHouse was great! Slappin my leg for you guys. Sincerely #legslap

Looks like I hurt the feelings of the self appointed lockeroom leader of a wrestling school. Let me know what time #legslap class starts so I can take my game to the next level. https://t.co/c2ECCKL44f

@RandyOrton Isn’t that the same guy who took credit for all those ‘great matches’ that he DIDNT put together? https://t.co/lbbNNDkHEd

These two have both been around for a long time. Check out some of their biggest moments:
Opinion: This doesn’t seem like something that is going to lead anywhere at the moment, but Ciampa has softened his stance on being called up a bit as of late. Maybe that means he will be heading to the main roster one day and a feud with Orton is hardly a bad way to start. Maybe he’ll agree to go one day, because the talent and abilities are certainly available for him.
Do you think this will lead anywhere? Will Ciampa agree to go to the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
