Add it to the card. We are rapidly approaching AEW’s latest major event with Forbidden Door, a crossover event with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The show will feature a series of matches between wrestlers from the two promotions, including several top stars. There is still room for more though, and another match has been added to the card, which will feature a top AEW star.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Call It A Tease? Missing AEW Star Says He Will Be Back And Maybe Soon

This week on AEW Rampage, Maxwell Jacob Friedman announced that Adam Cole will face Filthy Tom Lawlor at Forbidden Door. Lawlor and his friend Royce Isaacs appeared and attacked Cole, allowing Friedman to laugh at Cole when he was down after the attack. Friedman announced the match as revenge for Cole tricking him into facing Hiroshi Tanahashi at the same event.

It was a big surprise. Check out what happened, plus Lawlor and Cole in action:

Opinion: The match has potential to be rather good and that gives me some more hope for what we might be seeing. Cole could use a win over a successful star and Lawlor would fit the bill. If nothing else, it keeps Cole around and that is one of the most important things that can happen. I could certainly go for Lawlor being around even more often as well, as he is quite the star who could use a bigger stage.
