Did you miss him? Wrestlers have a difficult job as they have to make you believe that what you are seeing in front of you is real, despite knowing that things are planned in advance. That is a hard trick to pull off yet they make it work every week. There are occasions when there is more going on though and that was the case again recently, with an AEW star getting in some trouble.
According to F4WOnline.com, AEW’s Eddie Kingston was suspended from AEW a few weeks ago due to a verbal altercation with Sammy Guevara. The suspension has since been served and Kingston is back regular status. Kingston had issued a challenge to Guevara for All Out and Guevara accepted at the August 10 Rampage tapings. However, that segment did not air and neither Kingston nor the match have not been seen or referenced since. There is no word on if the match is still taking place, though it was not mentioned on this week’s Dynamite.
Opinion: There have been some interesting rumors of things going on backstage in AEW as of late and this is the latest, which seems to have been quite the ordeal. For Kingston, one of the more popular AEW stars, to be put on the shelf for the time being, there has to be something said here and now I’m curious to see what it is going to mean for both the match and Kingston in general.
What do you think of the suspension? Will the match take place? Let us know in the comments below.
