It’s not working. AEW has been quite the game changer for the wrestling industry as it has offered wrestlers a new place to go rather than WWE. The company offers a rather large platform for wrestlers to showcase themselves with high salaries to go with it. That sounds great on paper, but that is not always how things are going to go. It seems things are not going so well and now we know more about the situation.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is frustration in the AEW Locker room in recent weeks. This comes as the wrestlers are not being able to get in the ring as much as expected and are not experiencing upward mobility in spite of their high earnings. This comes as AEW is down in several metrics, including television ratings and live attendance. There is no word on what AEW is planning to do to fix the situation.
AEW has been doing good things lately. Check out some of their better efforts:
Opinion: This isn’t exactly surprising as there are so many wrestlers on the AEW roster and a lot of them get quite a bit of television time. With so many longer matches, there is only so much time to go around for the rest of the roster. I’m not sure how to fix that, but one thing might be trimming down the roster in some places. Maybe AEW should let some of its roster go, or at least use its television time better, as it could help some of the issues.
