More or less. We are less than a month away from Summerslam, one of the biggest stars that WWE presents every year. As a result, the company is going to want to put together as strong of a card as possible, which can make for a rather interesting night. WWE has already put together some of those matches, and now they seem to have another pair of huge matches set.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And Out: Another Name Gone From AEW Following Lengthy Absence

Two more title matches were teased for Summerslam this week on SmackDown without actually being set. First, LA Knight signed a contract to challenge Logan Paul for the US Title, though Paul as yet to sign the contract. Paul has been announced for next week’s show to address the situation. Later, WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes said that while he would have to get it confirmed by General Manager Adam Pearce, he was willing to defend his title against Solo Sikoa at the show. Summerslam takes place on August 3 inn Cleveland, Ohio.

It was a busy night. Check out how we got to this point:

Opinion: This is the kind of night that you need to see every so often, as while the matches are not confirmed, they are all but guaranteed to be set. Rhodes vs. Sikoa and Knight vs. Paul would make for some nice title matches, which is the right kind of feeling going into a show like Summerslam. WWE still has a long way to go, but at least they have set things up well enough on the way there.
