Priority Acquisition: WWE Very Interested In Signing Reigning NJPW Champion

That’s a big one. WWE has a long history of signing some incredibly talented international stars. The company has all kinds of stars up and down its roster and it can be a big deal when WWE brings in someone new. It can make for some interesting moments when WWE wants to sign someone and now they seem to have their eyes set on one of the best in the world.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is interested in signing reigning New Japan Strong Women’s Champion and current Stardom wrestler Giulia to a contract. The talks are believed to have reached a point where Giulia is expected to visit the Performance Center later this month. Fightful Select is reporting that Giulia is viewed as a “priority acquisition” and WWE is very interested in signing her. There is no when Giulia’s current contract expires.

Opinion: I’m not sure what Giulia is going to do but it seems that there is at least some interest on her side. WWE’s women’s division has come a long way and it would be nice to see them restocking the shelves a bit, with Giulia being a legitimate top level option. It remains to be seen if the two sides can come to terms, but it is certainly an interesting situation for both of them.
