It was a big one. In case you somehow missed it, this past Sunday say WWE presenting Wrestlemania 34. It filled the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with over 74,000 people and put on a heck of a card. Other than the big matches and developments there, it also set up a bunch of stuff the next night on Monday Night Raw. That show is always one of the most packed of the year, including a variety of debuts, returns, twists and turns. Fans knew something was coming when they tuned in, but the question was how many people would tune in.

Top 10 Raw moments: WWE Top 10, April 9, 2018

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw drew a 1.46 rating in the 18-40 demographic and 3.921 million viewers. These numbers are up 23% and 17% respectively over last week’s 1.19 rating and 3.358 million viewers. Since last week’s episode was just a normal show, the comparison doesn’t quite hold the same weight. However, this week’s show was an improvement over last year’s edition, which drew a 1.43 rating and 3.767 million viewers.

Here are some live notes from this week’s show.

Opinion: All in all, this wasn’t half bad. The big question coming out of Wrestlemania was the fallout of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. Lesnar retaining was a big surprise and a lot of fans wanted to see where things would be going from there. Throw in Ronda Rousey making her in-ring debut the previous night and the potential for a slew of fresh names showing up and it’s no surprise that the numbers are up. As usual though, the question is how many of those viewers can they retain.
