Possibly Major Update On Rey Fenix's AEW Status, Speculation About His Wrestling Future

As a result, some of these stars are wanted by other wrestling companies, which do occasionally get their wish. You will sometimes see wrestlers leave a promotion and go elsewhere, and while that might not be the case now, it seems we could be seeing it going in that direction.

Over the last few weeks, Rey Fenix has made it clear that he is at least somewhat unhappy with AEW, which has extended his contract due to missed time due to injuries. However, Fenix’s merchandise has since been pulled from AEW’s online store. According to Cagesideseats.com, this has led to speculation that Fenix could be leaving AEW, possibly to join his brother Penta in WWE, though this has NOT been confirmed. Fenix is still listed on the AEW roster as of Saturday morning, though the page appears to be out of date as part of the Lucha Bros and the Death Triangle, neither of which are still active.

Opinion: Hopefully this is Fenix getting to leave AEW. If the company does not want to use him and Fenix does not want to be there, it would be better to just let things go and for both sides to move on. AEW extending Fenix’s contract with no interest in using him is not exactly a great look and hopefully things settle down so we can see Fenix getting back in the ring sooner than later.
