It's Possible: CM Punk Reportedly Wants Back In AEW, What He Is Willing To Do

He might be in? 2022 was one of the busiest years in wrestling with one thing happening after another. Some of these stories have kept going throughout the new year and there are several details that still need to be worked out. That is the case with perhaps the most controversial and discussed moment, but now we might be getting ready for quite the twist in the whole thing.

Last year, CM Punk and the Elite got into a backstage brawl following AEW All Out 2022. Several suspensions followed, with Punk still being suspended as he recovers from a torn tricep. According to Fightful Select, Punk has told AEW that he wants to return “multiple times” as “still has the wrestling bug”. Punk has also offered to work with the Elite, though the team is reportedly not interested in working with him. He would also be willing to return and stay completely separate from the Elite, though there is no word on if that would be the case. Punk is also said to be willing to work elsewhere, though it is not clear where.

Opinion: If there is a way for Punk and AEW to work together in any way, AEW would be fairly crazy to not take it. There is money to be made in Punk’s return as he has all of the star power that AEW could need. At the same time though, there are several people who do not want him around the company. It seems like a complicated idea and Punk is already rather injury prone, but if this can work, then it is worth a shot.
