It’s always a possibility. Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee a safe match in wrestling. The wrestlers can do almost anything they want and have all of the training and experience in the world, but there is always the chance of something going wrong. That can lead to some time on the shelf, and it seems that we might be seeing it again now after a rather strange segment.

Last Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay per view included a lumberjack match between Damian Priest and The Miz. The lumberjacks wound up being zombies as part of a tie in with the new Netflix film Army Of The Dead. The match saw Miz and Priest fighting off the zombies in addition to having a regular match. According to F4WOnline.com, Miz suffered a knee injury at some point during the match. It is not clear how long he will be out of action, though he did not appear on this week’s Monday Night Raw. However, this could be selling being attacked by the zombies after the match ended.

I think this one speaks for itself. Check out Miz’s match at the pay per view:

Opinion: What matters here is that Miz is healthy, but at the end of the day, the fact that he was injured in some kind of a mess like this is even worse. Miz is one of the most dependable people in all of WWE and as a result he gets stuck in a lot of these messy situations. Hopefully Miz winds up being ok, but a knee injury can be such a tricky situation that we might not know how he is going to be for a little while.

What did you think of the match? What is next for Miz? Let us know in the comments below.
