Maybe? Injuries can happen at any point in wrestling and there is little that can be done to completely prevent them. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Two At Once: Injured WWE Superstar Dealing With Another Problem While On The Shelf
Over the weekend, TNT Champion Adam Copeland faced Malakai Black in a barbed wire steel cage match at AEW Double Or Nothing. At one point during the match, Black was tied to a table with barbed wire and Copeland climbed to the top of the cage. Copeland dove off and landed feet first on the mat rather than dropping an elbow on Black. During the post show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Copeland was being checked on by the medical team and hoped that it was not a serious injury. There is no word on if Copeland is injured or the severity of a potential injury.
Copeland has had some good times in AEW. Check out what he has done in the company:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can happen in the blink of an eye and unfortunately now all we can do is wait and see just how bad things are. Copeland is one of the bigger names in AEW and it would be a shame to see him on the shelf for any extended period of time. Hopefully everything is ok and Copeland doesn’t miss any time, as he likely does not have much time let in the ring in the first place.
What do you think of Copeland’s time in AEW? Who should take the title from him? Let us know in the comments below.
