It’s a process. Debuting a new star on a WWE show can be a complicated process as the company needs to find a way to bring the new name along. It takes the right move to introduce them but if things are done right, it can make for some great moments. WWE is trying to do it again, and are taking a rather different path than normal to make it work this time.

Grayson Waller was drafted from NXT to SmackDown in the Draft earlier this year, though he has yet to wrestle a match on television. Instead, Waller has only hosted a pair of episodes of his Grayson Waller Effect interview segments. According to the Better Wrestling Experience Twitter account by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Waller is “good” and WWE is working to slowly introduce him.

Opinion: It makes sense that WWE would want to bring Waller in differently as Waller is a different type of star. The idea with Waller is that people are going to watch to see him get beaten up and that is a personality that needs to be established. Letting him talk is going to get people annoyed at him, and then the payoffs can come later. It’s going to take time, but it should be worth it in the end.
