That’s cross promotional. While WWE is the king of the wrestling landscape, AEW has come a very long way in a rather short amount of time. The company has established itself as a solid #2 in less than five years of existence with a strong roster. Some of those wrestlers have gotten noticed elsewhere and it can still mean a lot when an established veteran from outside AEW takes notice. That was the case in a big way this week.

During a recent edition of the Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast, a fan revealed that Undertaker was asked which modern wrestler he would like to ace. Undertaker reportedly answered AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman, due to Friedman being sold in the ring and that he “lives his gimmick”. Friedman responded on Twitter saying there were “not many higher honors” than receiving praise from Undertaker and thanking him for his statements.
Not many higher honors than being praised by The Undertaker.

That’s a heck of a pick. Check out what the two of them have done over the years:
Opinion: I’m not sure I would have bet on that one, but Undertaker would certainly know what would be the best pick for him. Friedman certainly does live his gimmick ala Undertaker so it would make sense for that to be the kind of opponent he would like. It would certainly be an interesting feud, and Undertaker wrecking Friedman in the eventual match would be great.
What do you think of the pick? How would the feud go? Let us know in the comments below.
