That’s what they think. There are all kinds of wrestling promotions around the world with WWE and AEW being among the most powerful. As a result, they are able to sign the biggest names in wrestling and it can be an important time when one of them signs a top star. Both companies appear to be interested in signing a major name and one of them seems to believe they are ahead in the race.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Movin On Up? Former NXT Champion May Be Coming To Monday Night Raw

As of this week, former IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada is a free agent, though he still has a few matches scheduled with New Japan Pro Wrestling. According to Fightful Select, WWE has been in talks with Okada, who has also talked to wrestlers on the roster to help make up his mind. On the other hand, AEW believes they are likely to sign Okada, to the point where they have tentative plans in place for his debut. There is no word on when Okada will decide to sign a new contract with a new promotion.

Opinion: Okada is one of the biggest names going today and both AEW and WWE would be interested in signing him. The two companies will likely have major contracts ready for Okada and there is a good chance that he will have already seen both of them. No matter where Okada is going, the company that lands him is going to be in for a rather powerful addition as Okada is that good.
