Hopefully he isn’t broken smack bad in half. Wrestling is a dangerous business. You can hear about all kinds of injuries on almost any given day. It may be a broken finger, a separated shoulder, a torn ACL or all points in between, but at the end of the day there are almost always going to be some sort of injuries. However, most of the time they’re at least happening to the wrestlers. In this case though, it’s someone who almost never gets in the ring who has a heck of an injury of his own.

He’s been in pain before.

Mankind attacks Jim Ross: Raw, June 9, 1997

In a new post on his Twitter account, Jim Ross has posted an image of a horrible bruise on his back, which has been diagnosed as a cracked vertebrae. Ross doesn’t mention what caused the injury in the first place but does say that it took place in September 2017 and he only recently underwent an MRI. There is no word on what kind of treatment he’ll be receiving or if he’ll be out of action for any length of time. Ross is currently scheduled to call the Greatest Royal Rumble later this month and called Raw 25 earlier this year, but there is no word on if he’ll be going to the show live or recording remotely.

Opinion: Egads what a bruise. That looks terrible and I can’t imagine what kind of pain it’s been causing. Hopefully Ross can get it taken care of in the near future as no one deserves to be in that kind of pain. He sounded fine earlier this week at the Wrestlemania Kickoff Show when he called the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but maybe he was just battling through pain. He’s one of the few people I’d believe capable of pulling that off and hopefully he’s better soon.
