Call it a scouting trip? The wrestling world has changed a lot in recent years and a lot of that has been for the best. There are now more places for wrestlers to go and apply their skills, meaning you can see more of them in bigger roles. Some of these spots are of course more high profile than others and it can be interesting to see someone moving around. One former WWE star popped up at another show this week, though you might have missed her.
Cassie Lee, formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE, was in the audience for AEW Double Or Nothing. A fan took a picture of Lee, showing her in the crowd during the event. Lee responded to the photo, saying that the fan could have just asked for a photo. There is nothing to suggest that Lee has signed with AEW. Her husband, Shawn Spears, wrestled in the show’s main event.
Lee was released from WWE on April 15, meaning that her 90 day no compete clause has not yet expired, meaning that she is not able to appear for another promotion at the moment. There is no word on where she will be signing in the future, though she and Jessie McKay, formerly known as Billie Kay, have announced that they will be staying together as a team in the future.
Could’ve ask for a pic bro ?

You might remember her. Check out Lee’s time in the ring:
Opinion: This is one of those things that does not mean much but it is kind of interesting to see someone pop up in a little surprise. I’m not sure what is next for Lee but she and McKay certainly have something. It makes sense to have them together as most of their success has come as a team. I can’t imagine a promotion not wanting them to have a chance, so maybe they have a future.
Where will Lee go next? Should she be on her own or with McKay? Let us know in the comments below.
