That could be a different way to go. There have been very few wrestlers who have gone on a roller coaster like Happy Corbin over the last few years. After his life fell apart due to a losing streak and losing his money, Corbin gambled his way back up to success, only to start losing all over again. Now someone has an idea of how to fix things up and it happens to be a Hall Of Famer.
This week’s SmackDown saw Corbin lose again, this time in an open challenge to Shinsuke Nakamura. Following the loss, Corbin was approached by a limousine with horns on the hood. The person in the back asked what happened to Corbin and had him get inside to drive away. While not shown on screen, the voice was said to belong to WWE Hall Of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield.
Opinion: I don’t think many people had Layfield on their list of expected returns and that is enough to make me wonder where this is going. Corbin is a fascinating character has he has had one problem after another. Now we get to see what Layfield can do for him, which could be quite a bit if they play this right. Either way, Corbin’s ride continues and that should be interesting.
