She’s gone? There have been all kinds of names throughout AEW’s history but the company’s roster has changed quite a bit. When the company was forming, it signed several stars who only had limited experience elsewhere, but there were several names who had been seen in WWE. However, now one name who has been around since the beginning is gone.

Leva Bates has announced that her AEW contract, which began in April 2019, has expired, making her a free agent. Bates worked as both a wrestler as well as a manager for Peter Avalon under a librarian gimmick. Bates’ most recent match took place on the February 20 edition of Dark: Elevation. In addition to wrestling for the company, Bates worked with AEW’s Heels program.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is going to happen more and more for a bit, as a lot of the names from the beginning of AEW are no longer around. At the end of the day, Bates was someone who was around for a good while but never really got to do anything significant. She certainly has talent and it would be cool to see her getting another chance somewhere else.
