They did it. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the WWE roster but some of them do not get the chance to showcase their skills very often. Sometimes those wrestlers will get the chance to show what they can do outside of WWE, which can often be quite the successful moment. That is what we saw this week, with a WWE Superstar doing rather well in his debut elsewhere.

This week at Pro Wrestling Noah’s The New Year event, WWE Superstar Omos teamed up with Jack Morris to win the company’s GHC Tag Team Titles. Omos and Morris defeated Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura to win the titles when Omos pinned Marufuji. Omos has not wrestled since April 5, 2024, when he unsuccessfully competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Omos is a monster. Check out what he has done in WWE:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes you see just how things have changed in WWE. The idea of a wrestler going elsewhere is weird enough, but seeing them win a title is all them stranger. Thankfully Omos is getting to do something, as he has been sitting around for a long time doing nothing. If he can have some success over in Japan then good for him, even if it is a short term thing.
