It’s a positive. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been Vince McMahon completely stepping away from WWE following a major lawsuit. This is the kind of change that has shaken up WWE and it opens the question of where things go from here. It has changed quite a bit behind the scenes and now one of the biggest names in WWE history is weighing in on what it means.

Randy Orton was interviewed by SportsKeeda’s Bill Apter and spoke about the current atmosphere backstage in WWE. Orton said that while he loved McMahon and thanked him for the opportunities McMahon gave him, it might have been time for McMahon to move on. Orton went on to say that it was nice for the new regime to allow wrestlers to be off for days like Thanksgiving and Christmas while McMahon would stick to WWE’s schedule no matter what. He also said that WWE tries to take care of wrestlers a bit better when they need a break, as they understand that the wrestlers are “only human”.

Opinion: This seems to be the gist of the reactions to McMahon’s departure. While there are several people who have benefited from McMahon’s time in WWE, what he is accused of doing takes everything into a different universe. I’m not sure I can imagine McMahon being back in WWE, or wrestling whatsoever, and it’s seeming more and more like that is a good thing for almost everyone involved.
