That could be worse. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see someone put on the shelf for a long time. At the same time, there is always the chance that someone’s injury is little more than part of a storyline, which could make for some interesting situations. That appears to be the case again this week with some major WWE Superstars.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Time To Grow: Update On Monday Night Raw And SmackDown Expanding, More NXT Stars Expected
This week on SmackDown, Kevin Owens attacked Randy Orton and laid him out with a piledriver. This resulted in Orton being taken away from the arena in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. During the show, WWE announced that Orton had suffered unspecified cervical injury. WWE has since updated Orton’s status, saying that he has a cervical cord neurapraxia, with his return time unknown. There is nothing to suggest that this is anything more than a storyline.

That’s a big loss. Check out the attack and what Orton can do when he is around:
Opinion: This sounds like Orton is on his way back in time to fight Owens when he gets the chance and that is not a bad way to go. Orton and Owens have quite the feud going together and now they need to have their big match when Orton is back in the ring. The piledriver was a big deal as you do not see it happen very often in WWE, which made the impact that much stronger.
