That’s a lot. Vince McMahon is one of if not the most polarizing figures in all of wrestling. He dominated the wrestling world and brought it into a new era, but also has several faults along the way. McMahon has had all kinds of issues, including a series of sexual misconduct allegations last year. Now that the investigation is over, there is one other major issue that will cause McMahon some issues.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Back On: WWE Considers WrestleMania Appearance For Injured Star

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has filed a statement with the SEC announcing that McMahon has agreed to pay approximately $17.4 million to WWE for the costs of the investigation. McMahon paid the amount earlier this week, after having agreed to make such a payment when the investigation was completed. McMahon returned to WWE in January, following his original retirement in July 2022.

There have been some payoffs in WWE history. Check out a few over the years:

Opinion: This is something that had been coming for a few months now and it makes sense to finally see it happen. McMahon is paying quite a bit of money for the investigation, but it is a bit strange to hear that he is paying it to the company that he owns. At the end of the day though, that much money is not exactly a game breaker for someone like McMahon, but it certainly can’t feel good.

What do you think of the payment? What is next for McMahon in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
