That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place out of nowhere in wrestling. Anyone can get hurt at any time in a match and it is horrible to see under any circumstances. You can often see the injuries as they take place but have no idea how bad things are. Unfortunately that was the case with an AEW star recently, despite him not even being in a match.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Writing: Important Details On AEW Re-Signing Current Champion
Back in March, Don Callis was attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club during AEW Dynamite. The incident saw Callis fall down and hit his head on a lighting rig, busting him open in the process. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Callis also suffered cuts inside his mouth, teeth damage and whiplash. Callis has had neck issues since he was originally injured during a match in South Africa decades ago.

Opinion: Egads that is a lot off of one fall. Hopefully Callis is ok because you never want to see someone get hurt, especially with something involving their neck. Callis may not be everyone’s favorite, but he is rather important to the big Elite storyline and having him out of action for any length of time is a bad thing. Hopefully he is back sooner than later, as his health is more important than anything he can do on TV.
