One More Time: AEW Star Reportedly Banged Up During Dynamite Match

It happens. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can be injured in the ring and occasionally you can have a good idea that something has gone wrong when you see it. It is never good to see someone injured and the question becomes how severe things may be. Unfortunately that is the case again as an AEW star is banged up after a rather nasty spot in a match.

This week on Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita in a tag team match. During the match, Hobbs and Takeshita threw Allin into the ropes, with Allin hitting his neck. Bryan Alvarez posted to the F4WOnline Board, saying he was told that the landing “really messed Darby up”. Allin went on to finish the match. There is no word on whether or not Allin will miss TV time.

Opinion: As bad as it is, the idea of Allin being injured is almost normal at this point. Allin wrestles a rather dangerous style and it is becoming more and more common that he is getting hurt. At the end of the day, he might have to tone down his style, because these injuries are starting to pile up. Hopefully he gets healed up and gets back in the ring again, where he can last longer before getting hurt again.
