One More Run: AEW Star Reportedly Interested In WWE Return For Big Reunion

One more. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works, offering a new platform for wrestlers to showcase themselves on a national stage. As a result, top stars are able to go from one place or another when their contracts allow. That can create some interesting moments and now another one might be interested in having one more run in the other company.

Christian Cage debuted in AEW in March 2021 and has gone on to become a villain in the company. According to the Wrestling Observer newsletter, there has been talk of Cage wanting to have one more tag match or run with Edge in WWE. There is no word on if WWE would be interested in bringing Cage back or how long Cage has left on his current AEW contract. Cage returned to AEW TV this week in a backstage segment.

Opinion: That does strike me as interesting, as Cage and Edge are one of the most famous teams in WWE history. They have also been friends for such a long time that it would make sense for Cage to want to do something else one more time. Assuming this story is true, I could see it happening again, though there would need to be more than a few details to be worked out in advance.
