Hanging up the boots. Wrestlers have a weird situation when it comes to retirement. They can walk away at any time, but ultimately there is always the chance that they might come back into the ring. It isn’t like the mainstream sports where someone has to come back for a full season, meaning retirement can be hit or miss. Now another wrestler is getting ready for their final run.

Nick Dinsmore, formerly known as Eugene, has announced that he will be taking part in his retirement tour over the course of 2022. Dinsmore is making himself available for matches, seminars and stand up comedy. No specific dates or matches have been announced as of yet. Dinsmore has been wrestling since 1996 and has worked as both a wrestler and a trainer in the WWE system.

Dinsmore did fairly well during his time in WWE. Check out some of his highlights:

Opinion: I remember Eugene’s WWE debut and he took off in a hurry. WWE might not have handled his success as well as they could have, but at least he had a rather nice start to his career. He has made another career out of playing the same character on the independent circuit and is the biggest star in the history of OVW. That is more than a lot of wrestlers can claim and it is nice to see him getting to go out on his own terms.

What do you think of Dinsmore? Who would you like to see him face in his final match? Let us know in the comments below.
