It just keeps getting bigger. The AEW roster has really started to come into shape over the last few months with a bunch of names being signed to the promotion. This has allowed them to build their name up along with the hype for their first show next month as we now have a much better idea of whom to expect. There’s always time for more though, and that’s why another name was signed.

Today, via their Twitter account, AEW announced that they have signed Cima to a contract. Cima is a former star for Dragon Gate and the President of Oriental Wrestling Entertainment, which has a working agreement with AEW. During his time in Dragon Gate, Cima won every title the promotion had to offer and is currently scheduled to compete in a six man tag at next month’s Double or Nothing.

In case you’re not familiar. Check out Cima vs. Daniel Bryan from a few years back:

Opinion: While I would question hiring someone else on the roster who is over forty years old, Cima is another example of someone who brings in a different style to the promotion. You have to have a few more names out there to have a wide variety of options. That’s the best thing they can do as you never know what sort of talent could keep fans coming back next time.
