It’s a spot. This weekend marked the end of an era for Ring of Honor as the company is entering a hiatus period over the next several months. As a result, several stars are going to be leaving the company, though not all of them are going to be in the ring. There are all kinds of people who are heading elsewhere, and now we know where one of those names is heading next.
During an appearance on the Lehigh Valley With Love podcast, Ring of Honor broadcaster Ian Riccaboni has announced that he will be joining the New Japan Strong commentary team starting in Seattle on January 15. Riccaboni has been with Ring of Honor since 2014 and has been the main host of their TV show since February 2017. He will continue to do voiceover work for Ring of Honor TV for the next several months.
Hello! Very excited to break the news with @LVwithLove with love that I will be headed to Seattle for @njpwglobal to join the commentary booth for #njpwStrong!
New Japan has always been a treasured partner of ROH and I am thrilled for this opportunity. https://t.co/1TZ0cZuiv5

Riccaboni is a heck of a gem. Check out some of his time in Ring of Honor:
Opinion: I’m really happy to see Riccaboni getting a shot somewhere else as he might be the best broadcaster going today. There is such a passion and energy to him and it is great to see someone like him being given a chance. Ring of Honor is going to leave a lot of incredible talent on the market and it is going to be fascinating to see where all of them land in the near future.
What do you think of Riccaboni? Where do you want him to end up? Let us know in the comments below.
