On the mend. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as you never want to see them miss time. A wrestler getting hurt can derail all kinds of stories, but it can open the door for something different as a way to write them out of storylines. Unfortunately it seems that AEW has had to do this again as a major name has suffered a serious injury.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Reunion For Very Successful Team

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Matt Jackson suffered a partially torn bicep during the Trios Titles match on March 15. Jackson is not getting surgery to repair the injury, which would put him out of action for about seven months. There is no word on how long he will be out of action as a result. Last week’s angle involving the Young Bucks being taken to a hospital was one to write Jackson off television.

That’s a big loss. Check out the Young Bucks in action:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can rock a lot of stories, as the Bucks are the definition of a team rather than two wrestlers who wrestle together. I’m not sure what this means for the Elite, but it is probably going to be a long time before you see the team together again. Hopefully Jackson heals fast, as that is a pretty serious injury he is taking on at the moment.

What does this mean for AEW? How will the Elite go forward? Let us know in the comments below.
