That’s the plan. Titles are a very important aspect of professional wrestling as they identify which wrestlers are atop the food chains. A change in those titles can be a huge deal and that is the case again, but not quite in the traditional way.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: What Could Have Been: Here Is What WWE Originally Planned For Saturday Night’s Main Event
Last month, Jade Cargill was attacked by an unknown assailant, leaving her out of action for the time being. This week on SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis said that as a result, Cargill and Bianca Belair would have to be stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, Belair suggested that Naomi could be her partner instead, with Aldis seemingly agreeing. Opinion: This is one of the best ways that WWE could go, as having one of the champions keeping the title lineage alive is better than resetting everything again. At the end of the day, the titles have been vacated or dropped far too many times and it would be a shame to see it happen again. This isn’t exactly ideal, but I’ll take it over the alternative, which we have seen take place over and over.
