That’s what it sounds like. Wrestling has been around for a very long time and there are certain things that keep coming up over and over. These are ideas that have often been around for decades and longtime fans know them by name. It can be a special moment when those ideas come back again and now we might be seeing that take place with some champions.

This week’s edition of AEW Rampage saw the Gunns and Juice Robinson representing the Bang Bang Gang in a six man match. Following their win, Jay White named Robinson one fourth of the World Trios Champions. While not confirmed or officially announced, this would suggest that any combination of the four can defend the titles under the Freebird Rule. This is a rule that has been around for decades in wrestling and allows multiple wrestlers to defend a team title.

It was a busy night. Check out the announcement plus the team in action:

Opinion: This is one of those ideas that has been around forever in wrestling and it is nice to see it come back every so often. If nothing else, getting Robinson involved in more stuff is always a good thing as he has so much charisma and can do all kinds of things. I’m liking what we’re getting with the team and this is as good a way as possible to bring Robinson back into the fold.
