One more time? There have been all kinds of stables throughout the history of WWE, some of which have been quite important and turned into major forces. Some of them can be big enough that they come back later, which can make for quite the special moment. Now a former stable member is pitching a reunion, even though it has been a long time since the team was around.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Big One: WWE Is Doing Rather Well With One Of Its Signature Events
During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, former WWE Superstar Heath Slater suggested an idea for a Nexus return to WWE. Slater’s idea was built around the idea of Nexus being the foundation of NXT and now “We’re not boys no more. We’re men.” Of the original Nexus, only Wade Barrett still works for the company, albeit as a commentator. There is nothing to suggest that WWE is considering any kind of Nexus reunion.
Nexus was a big eal. Check out the team in WWE:
Opinion: I’m not sure I can imagine this happening, if nothing else due to how the team members are almost all either out of wrestling or not in WWE. The team was around almost fifteen years ago and for the life of me I can’t imagine that WWE would be interested in anything beyond a quick cameo. Nexus had a big debut but it only went so far, as the team didn’t really win much in the way of important matches. They were fun while the lasted but that might not be enough for a reunion.
