Not him? We are about seven months away from WrestleMania 40, which will be one of the biggest events WWE has ever presented. The show will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a city with an incredible wrestling history. As usual, WWE will be bringing in various legends to help make the show feel special, but one of them believes he won’t be around for the event.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Old Trio? Wrestling Legend Rumored For Possible WWE Return After Five Year Absence

Last month, WWE Hall Of Famer Rob Van Dam made a surprise appearance for AEW, where he defended the honor of ECW before losing to Jack Perry. During a recent edition of his 1 Of A Kind podcast, Van Dam suggested that he has lost out on his planned WrestleMania 40 weekend appearance due to appearing for AEW. Van Dam said that he received permission for the AEW appearance but went on to say that he could not talk about it too much at the moment.

It would be great to see him around. Check out Van Dam in AEW and WWE:

Opinion: I would certainly hope that Van Dam’s appearance for WWE was not canceled because he made an appearance elsewhere almost eight months earlier. At the end of the day, Van Dam’s time in AEW lasted less than half an hour combined and it fit in well with the story they were telling. Why in the world would that make any kind of significant change in what Van Dam could do for WWE next year?

What do you think of the situation? Should WWE bring Van Dam in for WrestleMania 40 weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
