One Among Many: Update On Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract Status, Others In Similar Situation

He’s not in? With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult t keep track of what is happening with everyone. As a result, some people are going to move up and down on the totem pole and become more or less valuable as time goes on. WWE has several stars who still have all kinds of value, but now one of them does not have much longer on his current deal and it might cause some issues.

According to Fightful Select, Drew McIntyre has still not signed a new deal with WWE and his current contract is expected to expire at some point before WrestleMania 40 in April 2024. This comes after McIntyre took a hiatus from WWE this year, partially due to a contract dispute. McIntyre is said to be one of several big names with deals set to expire next year, including Becky Lynch.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with McIntyre at the moment but it seems that there is at least a real chance that he could be leaving WWE. If, and that is a big word, happens, McIntyre would have quite the number of suitors on the open market. McIntyre is a very talented star and someone WWE has invested a lot in over the last few years, though now that investment might be leaving.
