According to PWInsider.com by way of Wrestling Inc, Rhea Ripley is almost ready to sign a new contract which will keep her in WWE for an extended time. While the exact details are currently unknown, the deal is believed to be for the next five years with a “significant” raise in pay. Ripley, who turns 29 years old later this week, is a multiple time Women’s Champion whose year long reign was ended earlier this year due to injury.

Opinion: I’m not sure if there was ever any serious doubt about WWE re-signing Ripley as much as it was “how much will it cost”. Ripley has been the cornerstone of the WWE women’s division for a long time now and there was no reason to believe she would go anywhere else. She’s young, successful and feels like a major star. If she wanted to stick around, WWE would make sure that was the situation for a very long time to come.
