She’s #1. There are all kinds of titles and accolades in wrestling but the majority of them are lost at some point in a wrestler’s career. It can be a big deal when someone earns something that is there forever, which is often the case with something that is earned outside of a wrestling promotion. That is what we saw again this week as a talented wrestler topped a list.

AEW’s Toni Storm has topped this year’s Pro Wrestling Illustrated PWI 250, ranking the top 250 women in wrestling over the course of a year. The list ranks wrestlers from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 and includes a mixture of in-ring ability, quality of competition, impact on the sport, accomplishments and more. Here are the top ten, with wrestlers from around the world:

7. Bayley

That’s a heck of a list. Check out some of the top names included:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that will always get a lot of attention as you can go with all kinds of lists like this one. You can see a variety of options for #1 and the question becomes what should be valued more than others. Storm is certainly a viable option at #1 as she has dominated a good chunk of the year in the second biggest promotion going today, but that might not mean something for everyone. It is certainly worth a look and should get people talking.
