On The Card: New Title Match Officially Set For WWE Bad Blood

Another one. While title matches can be rather important, they can often set things up for the future. One of the most obvious ideas is a rematch, as you might want to see a former champion getting another shot at the gold. That can make for a big match on its own, and that should be the case soon, as a title rematch has officially been set up for an upcoming WWE event.

This week on SmackDown, Bayley defeated Naomi to earn a WWE Women’s Title shot against Nia Jax at Bad Blood. The match was set up last week when Bayley and Naomi pinned Jax in a tag match where the person who scored the fall would earn the shot. Jax defeated Bayley to win the title last month at Summerslam. Bad Blood is set for October 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Opinion: This is a logical way to go but it is nice to see Bayley earn the rematch rather than just being handed another chance to be the champion. It is something that makes sense but WWE put in a bit more effort to make the whole thing work. If nothing else, Naomi could play a role in the title match and the way it was set up helps make that a stronger possibility.
