He’s useful. There have been all kinds of names around through WWE’s history and some of them have made an impact on the audience. It can be difficult to keep track of everyone, but there are some who did things besides what you saw in front of the camera. Those are the people who have some extra skills, and now one such name might be on their way back to WWE.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: She’s Back: 45 Year Old Hall Of Famer Wrestling First Match In Three Years

Earlier this week, news began to circulate that the Authors of Pain may be on their way back to WWE, and could have even already been re-signed. According to Fightful Select, their former on-screen manager Paul Ellering was involved in the negotiations for the team to potentially return. According to PW Insider by way of Cagesideseats.com, there have been discussions about the team returning to NXT, with Ellering as their manager. Ellering, 70, has not appeared on WWE TV since his association with the Authors of Pain ended in 2018.

The pair works well together. Check out the Authors of Pain and Ellering together:

Opinion: This is an interesting possibility as Ellering and the Authors of Pain were a great combination and did not get to be together all that long. Letting the two of them get back together in NXT could be worth a try, as NXT certainly could use the extra depth in their tag team division. If nothing else, Ellering has previously said he does not want to travel, so NXT might be the only option that they have.

What do you think of the idea? How would the reunited team do in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
