Oh no. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as you never know when someone is going to get hurt and be put on the shelf as a result. A wrestler can be doing anything when their body can give out or be damaged in some way, which can be devastating to their careers. Unfortunately it seems that we are seeing the same thing again this week.

NXT was taping the February 20 edition of the show following the February 13 broadcast. The February 20 show included a Women’s Title match as Lyra Valkyria defended against SmackDown’s Shotzi. According to Corey Brennan of Fightful.com, the match was stopped when Shotzi suffered what is described as a “serious knee injury”. There is no word on how long Shotzi might be out of action.

Opinion: That is terrible to hear and something you never want to see happen, as Shotzi is likely to be out for several months, if not the rest of the year if this is as bad as it seems. Shotzi is someone who feels like she could break into the next level if given the chance but there is only so much that can be done if she is going to be on the shelf for as long as this will likely take.
