On the shelf. There have been countless wrestlers throughout the history of the industry and most wrestlers have never reached a top level. The stars who reach the highest levels of stardom are often remembered long after their in-ring careers end fans continue to follow them. That is the case again with a major star, but now one of the bigger projects is not going to be happening.

During a new interview with Variety, film director Todd Phillips has announced that he will not be directing a biopic based on the life of Hulk Hogan. This comes after doubts had been cast on the film, with both Hogan and rumored star Chris Hemsworth suggesting that it would not be made. There is no word on what caused Phillips to drop out of the project or if another director will be taking up the idea.

Opinion: When you look at the things Hogan has been in the news for lately, it shouldn’t be shocking to see that Hogan is not going to be presented in such a big way. He hasn’t been helping himself with a lot of the things he has said and done and now he is losing some opportunities as a result. Maybe this film gets made at some point, but it does not seem likely anytime soon.
