Now on the road to recovery. Injuries can happen to a wrestler at any given time and that is never a good thing. Sometimes someone is going to get hurt and be put on the shelf but the most important factor is how bad things are. Assuming a wrestler can continue their career, it becomes a question of how long before someone can get back in the ring. It is too early to answer that in a current case, but at least someone is moving in the right direction.

Earlier this year, Monday Night Raw featured a series of special segments entitled Raw Underground. This was not your most traditional idea on a wrestling show, as the segments featured a group of wrestlers appearing in what were presented as “real” fights. It was a different way to go, but the main benefit was allowing different wrestlers to present themselves. One turned this into a call up to Monday Night Raw, but he quickly found himself back in NXT. Now, he is finding himself recovering from surgery.

NXT wrestler Arturo Ruas has sent out a tweet announcing that he has undergone surgery to repair a torn bicep muscle. The injury is believed to have taken place during a match against Kushida on November 18. There is no word on how long Ruas will be out of action. Ruas was drafted to Monday Night Raw during the October WWE Draft, though he never actually wrestled on the show before returning to NXT.

Ruas can do some unique things in the ring. Check out some of his work:

Opinion: That’s horrible to hear, though WWE seemed to see at least a little something in Ruas before he went under the knife. Ruas wrestles a unique enough style that he should have a place to go for a good while. Assuming he is back within a few months, Ruas should be able to have a fast enough track from NXT up to the main roster, though you never can tell with WWE.

What do you think of Ruas? What will he do when he heals up? Let us know in the comments below.
