That’s a good place to be. There are a lot of people in the wrestling world but not all of them got there in the same way. With so many other sports out there, wrestling would be smart to try and see where they could draw from. A lot of football players make their way into wrestling, but that is not the only way to go. Another athlete from another sport has made his way to WWE, and he might be doing rather well.

NXT UK has become one of the better proving grounds for the main NXT roster as the stars are able to go out there and showcase their talents. There are a lot of talented wrestlers in the United Kingdom and some of their backgrounds are from different sports. That is the case with someone heading to regular NXT and WWE certainly seems to be rather impressed so far.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, Ridge Holland is seen as the next big thing in NXT. Holland is a former rugby league player who has wrestled both in NXT and NXT UK under both the names Holland and Luke Menzies. He is currently scheduled to take part in a triple threat qualifying match against Damian Priest and Oney Lorcan on this week’s NXT, with the winner moving on to a ladder match for the North American Title at Takeover: XXX.

Holland has looked good so far. Check out his better moments:

Opinion: I can see something like this, but at the same time I could go with Holland getting some more time under his belt before he becomes the next big thing. He hasn’t exactly been around all that long but the skills are there. Holland is a big power guy and someone who could make some waves in time. That could start this week, though it might be a little too early.

What do you think of Holland? How far can he go in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
