NXT Starting Rather Unique Storyline To Introduce New Wrestler

That’s not something you see every day. Wrestling can have some weird things in it at times. Some of the angles that you will see on a day to day basis might not make the most sense at first, but sometimes they will take a turn for the better and surprise you. NXT knows how to throw some curves out there and we might be in for a story that has a pretty big one.

A recurring story over the last few weeks in NXT has seen wrestlers being kidnapped from the parking lot and thrown into the back of a van by men in masks. This has been the case for Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde, leaving fans to wonder what is going on with the situation. As it turns out, the story might be leading to a debut and a pretty interesting story.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the kidnappings are meant to lead to the debut of Jorge Bally, better known as El Hijo Del Fantasma or King Cuerno in Lucha Underground. The story will see the kidnapped wrestlers being brainwashed to work with or for Bally in a similar way to Patty Hearst, an heiress kidnapped in the 1970s and brainwashed into committing crimes.

Opinion: This is something that could be interesting and having someone with the star power of Bally in there could make it even better. There are all kinds of ways this story could go and having a brainwashed stable could make for some interesting television. NXT seems to need some kind of a spark when it comes to storylines so maybe this can help them in the future.
