That doesn’t sound good. Injuries are one of the few universal dangers in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to be taken out of action for any length of time. There are all kinds of possibilities and some of them are going to be more serious than others. Another has taken place to a current star and you might not be seeing her for a little while going forward.
This week on NXT, Cora Jade announced that her tag partner Raquel Gonzalez has suffered an injury at the hands of Toxic Attraction and will be out of action for four to six weeks. Toxic Attraction attacked Gonzalez last week the women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, costing Gonzalez and Jade the match. Jade tried to get revenge on the team this week and will be challenging Mandy Rose for the Women’s Title at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 as a result.
Opinion: That is never good to hear and hopefully Gonzalez will be back in the ring sooner rather than later. Aside from that, I wonder if Gonzalez is going to come back to NXT whatsoever. She has already had a long reign with the Women’s Title, so what exactly is left for her to do down there? Gonzalez would make a nice addition to either of the WWE’s main rosters and it would not surprise me to see her show up there next.
What do you think of Gonzalez? Where do you see her going next? Let us know in the comments below.
